First and foremost, we want to congratulate all of you on getting in! The intro week will take place in week 35 and we are excited to share the fun program we prepared. It is full of fun, academic and social activities to get to know CBS, our program and fellow DMers. We believe that the intro week will give you a solid basis for the coming three years, setting you off to a great start socially as well as academically.

Welcome from Programme Director

Dear new Digital Management students

Welcome to Copenhagen Business School and welcome to BSc in Business Administration and Digital Management. DM is a relatively new programme, started in 2018 to give students an understanding of business in the digital age. Over the next three years, you will not only get skills in traditional business topics such as finance, accounting, strategy and organization, but also in digital innovation, new technologies and advanced ways of working with data. Also, you will learn about data protection, privacy, ethics and responsibility in digital environments.

You are the 6th batch of students to enter DM, and you will become part of a thriving and supportive study environment. The coming years will be lots of hard work and lots of fun, and I encourage you to make the most of the opportunity. I hope your time at CBS will be an exciting learning experience, and I look forward to meeting you very soon

Activities outside CBS, e.g. social events, will not appear in your schedule, but only in the programme below.

Practical information: There is no need to bring anything except clothes matching the weather forecast and a water bottle 

  • 8:30 – 11:00 – We meet at Frederiksberg Have (Meeting at Roskildevej 28, 2000 Frederiksberg (Søndermarken in front of castle)). Here you will be welcomed by us guides and split into your first intro group. The first few hours will be spent with this group, for you to get to know your first peers and friends. We will do different exercises and activities, having fun in the sun (hopefully) and enjoying ourselves, starting off slow, getting to know each other. After we finish our initial icebreakers, we will walk to CBS together. 
  • 11:00 – 12:00 – Welcome to DM! (SP201 VELUX, Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg). We will have a warm welcoming from our programme director Mikkel, who will present to you what this study program is all about and who we are as a part of it. We will discuss the program of the intro week and the intro week rules as well. Also, the DM Union will give an introduction along with a quick presentation from our guides.  
  • 12:00 – 12:40 – Lunch Break, lunch will be provided!  
  • 12:40 – 13:10 – DM Cup! (SP201 VELUX) You will be split into your allocated study groups for the first semester, which will also be the teams during our tournament – DM Cup. We will give you a moment to get to know each other before getting started on the activities with your teammates! 
  • 13:10 – 13:40 – First activity of the DM cup! (SP201 VELUX) To start off our little tournament you will have an opportunity to get creative and brainstorm with your team on your first task. 
  • 13:40-15:30 – Tour de Campus (Around campus). We will together do a tour around the different important locations for the upcoming semesters with some fun semi-academic activities lined up throughout the exercise. We are starting at SP201 VELUX for the instructions. 
  • 15:30 – 17:00 – Hygge at Frederiksberg Have. After a long first day as a DM student, we will head to Frederiksberg Have for some Hygge. Get to chat more with your new friends, play games and chill in a relaxed atmosphere.

Practical information: Bring your devices! Bring or wear some sporty/comfortable clothes, because we will do active tasks in the afternoon! Dinner is provided at Green Island! Lunch is not provided today. 

  • 8:30 – 9:30 – For internationals only! We meet at Solbjerg Plads (Room SPs 08 Djøf, Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg), where our wonderful guides will introduce you to the life in Denmark. We will provide you with all the essentials on how to get used to the new environment, all the paperwork and practical matters regarding everyday life, transportation, accommodation and much more. For anyone with questions about life in Denmark, life in Copenhagen or anything practical as well as cultural, this will be the time to get an answer to some of them. 
  • 9:30 – 11:00 – Everyone! We will continue at Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg (SPs 07 Coloplast and SPs 08 Djøf). Here we will introduce you to my.cbs.dk, show you how to install the WiFi and more practical stuff! Remember to bring your laptops/devices! 
  • 11:00 – 12:00 – Social Activity to get to know each other better! 
  • 12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch Break – lunch is not provided  
  • 13:00 – 14:30 – Course Introduction. (SP201 VELUX) The professors will come in and give a small presentation on the courses for the first semester. The guides will be there as well to help and answer questions about the courses. 
  • 14:00 – 15:30 – DM Cup Olympics! After the course introduction we will move a bit in the fresh air with sport Olympics in your DM Cup teams.  
  • 18:00 – Quiz Night on Green Island! After a quick break we meet on Green Island, Kalvebod Brygge 9, 1560 København. We guarantee a nice evening with activities, good music and more time to relax with your fellow classmates. And importantly, pizza will be provided by us!

2024

Practical information: It is not mandatory to bring anything today, just make sure your clothes match the weather forecast. Optionally you can bring some paper or a laptop to take notes of the presentations in the morning, but the presentations will be shared with you!! Lunch is not provided today. 

  • 9:30 – 10:30 – We meet at Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg, where DM alumni will come around and tell you a bit about DM from their perspective and some tips and tricks to completing the program. (SP210 Demant) 
  • 10:30 – 11:30 – Tips and tricks – how to study. Our fellow guides will let you in on our tips and tricks how to effectively get through your studies. That’s also when you will get to meet our DM Academic Mentors (SP210 Demant). 
  • 11:30 – 12:00 – Lunch Break – lunch is not provided. 
  • 12:00 – 14:30 – Tour de Copenhagen! Meet new people, meet Copenhagen. You will walk around the city to different locations, where tutors will have fun activities ready for you to work on together with your new group.  
  • 14:30-15:00 – Last Q&A (SP201 Velux). A chance to ask all the remaining questions you may have before heading into your first semester as a DM student!  
  • 15:00 – 16:00 – Final of DM Cup. With our week coming to an end, we need to settle who is going to win this year’s DM Cup and with that we are ending with our one final task and a massive thank you from all our guides for being with us throughout the week.

  • 10.00-10.30: Light breakfast with students from your programme at Solbjerg Plads 
  • 10:30-11:00: Welcome speech from CBS President Peter Møllgaard 
  • 11.00-12.00 How is Nordic Nine used in your programme? 
  • 12.00-14.00: Nordic Nine Fair + food trucks with delicious lunch 
  • 15.00-16.00: Football tournament organised by CBS Students and CBS Sports. SIGN UP HERE.
  • 16.00-22.00: Semester start party at Solbjerg Plads

The Kick Off is the last day of intro and your first day as an bachelor student. Here you will get to know your fellow students better – both academically and socially –  and learn more about student life with the nine competences that run like a common thread throughout your studies at CBS. The Kick Off ends with a semester start party for all students! 

The theme for the day is Nordic Nine, which are the nine competences that are the most important skills – besides the learning from your programme – you achieve while at CBS. With Nordic Nine, CBS wants to inspire you to help solve society’s challenges with consideration for yourself, for others and for the planet. At the Nordic Nine Fair, you can talk to other students, teachers and representatives from the business world about how Nordic Nine can be used in practice and help make your education something extraordinary. 

We will provide delicious meals from food trucks and good company. If you want to play football in the afternoon, you can sign up, and otherwise you can cheer with the others before the Semester Start Celebration with live music and DJ.

Wednesday, 14 August: Online pre-arrival seminar 

Join CBS for an online seminar to help you get settled in Denmark and at CBS. You will get information and tips about registration with the authorities, housing, living in Denmark and much more.

Sunday, 25 August: Welcome event 

On this day you will get essential practical, academic and cultural information to assist you in your transition to CBS and Copenhagen.

Meet your study start guides

We are 17 study start guides who just finished our first year at Digital Management. At our Instagram account you will have the possibility to meet us all! We all had an incredible intro week last year and have done everything possible to arrange the perfect week for you, sending you guys off to a good start of Digital Management and three super nice years of your life!  

Hopefully you are as excited about week 35 as we are, potentially a little nervous, yet so ready to get started! We are counting down the days and cannot wait to meet all of you. See you soon!!!
