Mandatory study start test
When you start your studies at CBS, you will have to take a course and pass a test on academic integrity and conduct.
Good academic practice is a competence you will need throughout your studies. It is an important part of being a university student.
The course deals with how to work with sources and how to write an academic assignment. The purpose of the course is to ensure that you are prepared for writing academic projects at an adequate level without accidentally cheating or committing plagiarism.
The study start test is mandatory
The study start test is a mandatory part of your study start. Therefore, you must pass the test to continue your studies. If you do not complete the test, you risk being de-enrolled from your study programme.
You can take the test during two periods:
1st period: 3 – 17 September, 2024, 12:00 noon
2nd period: 1 – 8 October, 2024, 12:00 noon
You will automatically be signed up for the second test period if you do not pass the test in the first round.
You can take the test as many times as you want within the two periods.
What is plagiarism?
CBS defines plagiarism as ”an attempt to take credit for the work of others without their consent and without a source reference.”
Whenever you use sources in an assignment , you need to make sure that you use a correct citation. This means that you must point to the exact sources you have used in your assignment. This way, readers will be able to identify the original source smoothly and verify that the thoughts and ideas expressed in the source have been applied correctly by you.
